JOIN AAFD CONTINGENCY SPONSORS

Two more high performance parts manufacturers have thrown their hats into the ring joining the growing list of high profile companies that support the All American Fuel Dragsters association. DRE Racing in Texas, and Lightning Connecting Rods of Florida, have both come on board for the California Hot Rod Reunion with an eye toward becoming full time contingency sponsors for the 2012 season.

John Dearmore, spokesman for DRE Racing, admits to having an eye on the AAFD cars for some time now, but just recently made the decision to add the support of his company. A well known top fuel dragster owner and tuner since the 1960s, Dearmore had little trouble recognizing the importance of exposing his products to the teams that compete in the Nostalgia Top Fuel division of the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing series. As a manufacturer of aluminum shaft-type rocker arm assemblies for the 331-354-392 Chryslers, adding his company to the list of contingency sponsors was a logical step in promoting DRE’s products. It took his message directly to the core customer. In addition to the rocker arm assemblies, which is the product on which the contingency is posted, DRE manufacturers a large selection of other racing components for the early style Chrysler engines.

Also posting for the California Hot Rod Reunion will be Lightning Connecting Rods of Florida. Lightning is a name that may be new to some, but that goes hand-in-hand with their approach to connecting rod technology. Lightning offers a fully CNC machined billet 7075 aluminum connecting rod featuring ARP 2000 rod bolts. Lightning Connecting Rods have generously donated a set of their billet aluminum rods to the AAFD member who wins the Nostalgia Top Fuel class at the CHRR.
